The vegan tasting menu for our friends was a hit! Their personal favorites: the dhokla, pani puri, and avocado kebab. They said the vegan menu was appropriately filling and is easily one of the best elevated vegan Indian foods they have had. Each dish had really nice flavor profiles that made you want a whole platter of everything. No one dish felt truly the same because the chef made sure that each dish had different textures and a different Indian spice that was highlighted The non-vegan tasting menu left us super full! Personal favorites were: dhokla, lobster moilee, and lamb nihari. The dishes were so unique and just made us wishing we had more (even though we were so full by the end!) Wine Pairing: worth it! The pairing for the yoghurt chaat was one of my favorite pairings I ever tasted. The sommeliers that spoke to us were both fantastic. They had such a nice way of explaining each wine without making it feel like it was a lesson being taught. You can tell both of them felt passionate about how well the chosen wines paired with each dish selection. The dessert pairing of wine was something I had never tasted before and it was a nice sweet wine that went nicely with the mishti doi.  Vibe: it's a clean aesthetic. I actually wish there was more Indian artists featured or some pop of color, but overall it's a nice space. I would love to come back and sit at the bar for some bar bites and drinks!

This was one of the best meals we had in a long time. My husband and I had two nights in Chicago and debated long and hard on which tasting menu to do. On a last minute decision we opted for Indienne and I'm so glad we did. The menu online vs what we had there's a disconnect in a positive way. The food really is fine dining with Indian overtones and French influence. I opted for the wine pairing and my husband had a few cocktails, as the recommendation of the server. Our favorite courses were the yogurt course, the scallop and lobster and the lamb, which we normally dislike lamb and this was incredible. The restaurant is beautiful as well. Services top notch. Well worth the tasting and wine pairing. I can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic dining experience here. The menu is very creative and the fusion of indian flavors with modern presentation is superb. The flavors explode in your mouth in the most delicious way. My favorite was the yogurt chaat which I found extra ordinary. I ordered the supplemental dish to the tasting menu and it turned out to be a bit much for me. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

I'm still speechless from this dinner. Every taste had incredible depth of flavor. The plates were perfectly balanced, and visually outstanding. These combinations of flavors were some Id never had before. The mixture of textures in each dish was also balanced perfectly. Each dish had a balance of creaminess, crunch, etc. The dishes were each visually stunning and alluring. Some had additional parts that our server added at the table, which brought even more intrigue. Everything was truly a work of art and there isn't anything Id say negative about the experience or meal. Our server Mariah also was super awesome, attentive, prepared, and on top of it. We were given a glass of bubbly at our arrival for our anniversary. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very knowledgeable about the foods and drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant felt upscale and modern in design. This meal was worth every cent we paid and I'd love to go back again and try the vegetarian menu.

Food was exceptional. I love how they had non vegetarian tasting menu, pescatarian tarting menu and vegetarian tasting menu. Wine selection was decent. Sommelier was really nice and very knowledgeable. She provided great wine recommendation. Service was just OK. I'm sure the server was busy with other tables. There were a few misses for the evening. When we got seated, our guest requested a glass of champagne (we already had the bottle at the table) but we had to ask a few times to get him a glass. At the end of the meal, two chai teas came out but another guest requested decaf tea and it never came out. Our guest had to ask the server to get tea and to get more water so I felt bad for him. Also, the dishes did come out in a timely manner up until after the lamb dish, then there was a huge wait time for the rest of the meal. To be exact, it took over 39 minutes as I texted my driver we have three more courses left and after 39 minutes, I texted him that we were still waiting on dessert. The table next to us finished the same time as us who arrived a lot later than us. Other than that, everything else was fine. Food was really good and ambience was nice.

Indienne definitely lives up to the critics' reviews and whatever distinctions it's won. I feel like their food is an excellent example of what fine dining should be - interesting flavors that are well executed (some places do novel things but they don't suit and feel forced and not particularly delicious) and are so yummy to eat. I also feel like for the quality of their tasting menu, the price makes sense (it's cheaper than another tasting menu I did further north that was good but not as good). I highly recommend this place - I can't think of a single bite I did not thoroughly enjoy and I ate up every possible bite and bit of sauce. The blackberry pani puri was a novel way to eat something I love (pani puri), the chicken makhani was exquisite, I could go on and on. I also feel like I enjoyed their dessert because they do again my favorite things about bougie fine dining - unique but also delicious and every bit of dessert was so good. I also personally really love a course that is many courses in one, which is how they did their dessert and the appetizers. The staff was also so warm and nice, and clearly so excellent at what they do. The only note I have about Indienne is the white tablecloth environment is very traditional fine dining which I personally find stuffy (it makes me feel like I don't belong or reminds me that fine dining is not often for the masses and not always for people like me). Again, the staff were so kind so they didn't make me feel that way, but the decor was just a bit more pretentious and not my particular preferred aesthetic. Regardless, food was delicious and I not only enjoyed trying Indienne but I would come again for a special occasion.

INCREDIBLE. Two of us went for my boyfriend's birthday. He's focusing on a plant based diet and honestly, I'm not that adventurous with meat and have trouble with dairy. So we did one vegetarian and one vegan menu (with a non-vegan wine pairing for both except for one course where it paired better with the food). Service: excellent. Wine: tried and liked things I would never ever reach for elsewhere. Food: absolutely delicious AND vegetarian/vegan. WOW. Easily a top 3 tasting menu for me, blowing that #1 in the city out of the water. I love the vibe in here, too. It's like a modern, cozy, warm living room (said as someone who really enjoys being cozy and comfortable). Love the colors. We literally said somewhere near the beginning how each course was getting better and better than the one before it. By the time we hit dessert, we were stuffed and our tastebuds were dancing! I won't go too much into the actual dishes since the menu likely changes quite often, but I could easily be vegan if their chefs were cooking my meals everyday. So incredibly impressive.

I came here for an alumni event. I was excited to try a Michelin Star Indian restaurant and compare it to the other Indian restaurants I've been to. I really loved the layout of the restaurant with all the pinks and pastel colors. The bathroom was beautiful with the floral patterns and bright colors. Service was friendly and I appreciated the coat check that they provide. I loved their cocktail and wine list. The passion fruit wine was subtly sweet and reminded me of a Riesling. The dinner was a $129 tasting menu with 7 courses ranging from butter chicken, pani puri, prawn balchao, and dessert. The food was beautifully presented and I felt full at the end of the dinner. For the price of the meal, I still prefer the traditional versions of the Indian dishes. The butter chicken used ground up chicken which changed the texture of the dish quite a lot and there wasn't a lot of curry to dip the naan in and eat with the rice. The shrimp was tender and perfectly cooked, but for me I wasn't a huge fan of the spices that were used to coat the shrimp. It was a bit underwhelming. The stuffed courgette with crab was delicious though. Throughout the meal, the servers brought new dish ware and utensils with each course of the meal. I'd be chatting and sipping my wine and see clean cutlery on the table in front of me. The dessert was spectacular though. I loved the crunchy textures along with the carrot and whipped cream. Thanks for a unique dining experience! I don't go to a lot of fine dining restaurants but this was a fun experience.

Consistently delicious, bright and well spiced. A delightful treat. Growing up with Indian food, it is really fun to see upscale versions of classics like Pani Purri and Dhokra. Got the vegetarian tasting menu with a premium tasting menu (split for free between 2 people). Each dish hit 4.5/5 with great flavor, brightness and originality. Fantastic service.
